Wind Conditions The wind is strong and non-stop. There wasnt one day of less then 20knots. La Sandia and other resorts offer guarantees on the wind or your stay is free. That pretty well describes the wind.
Time of Year I was there most of the month of January. The wind season starts early November running through March.
Water Conditions The water is warm and clear. Lots of sea life in the bay: whales, sea turtles, dolphins, fish. The water is choppy due to strong wind but and island in the middle offers butter flat if so desired.
Obstacles Very few obstacles at the furthest and lowest point of the beach. Never an issue.
Local Riders The La Sandia team has two riders Damien and Kent. Damien is an energetic Canadian whom loves to party and ride hard. Kent is a team rider for Cabrinha and follows Damien on the hard riding and partying. There is also a local school owned by Nicola at suntoursandfun.
