With 20+ Years power kiting experience, air is South Carolina’s only dedicated power kiting shop and school. In fact, we're the only dedicated shop between North Carolina and Northern Florida. The South Carolina Lowcountry offers an incredible array of seasons with pristine beaches and beautiful winds. You’ll fly off beaches, waves, & flat water in any season! Spring boasts steady warm southerly winds averaging 15-25 kts. Fall & Winter offer similar speeds but from often gusty north-east frontals. Summers typically rely on afternoon thermals ranging 10-15 kts. The barrier islands provide a variety of flying spots for any wind direction. Low tide sandbars create flat water with Atlantic swell breaks on the outside. For more details on local wind, water, and weather trends by season, Air's Where to Ride Guide, and south carolina kiteboarding lessons, please visist air kiteboard's website: www.catchsomeair.su Email: info@catchsomeair.us Website: http://www.catchsomeair.us Phone: 843-388-9300 Season: Lowcountry wind conditions are just one reason we're based in Charleston, SC, and can offer classes year round along the east coast from northern Georgia to southern North Carolina. Including: - Beaufort, SC- Hilton Head Island, SC- Myrtle Be Directions: From Charleston International Airport (CHS) take I-526 East to Mount Pleasant. Stay on Highway until it becomes a 4 lane road.
